Kinglake & Glenburn man busted hooning in Toolangi forest

The State Highway Patrol Solo Unit’s (motorcycle police) off-road team intercepted a 57-year-old Glenburn man and a 33-year-old Kinglake man hooning on high-performance buggies in Spraggs Road, Toolangi region on Sunday 10 July.

The State Highway Patrol Solo Unit’s (motorcycle police) off-road team intercepted a 57-year-old Glenburn man and a 33-year-old Kinglake man hooning on high-performance buggies in Spraggs Road, Toolangi region on Sunday 10 July.

The officers were patrolling in the Toolangi area when they received complaints about the buggies driving erratically in the area.

The off-road team located and intercepted two high-performance Can Am off-road buggies along Spraggs Road at about 1.30pm.

Police spoke to drivers of both buggies, who both had passengers on board.

The Glenburn man and Kinglake man were issued with infringements for using unregistered vehicles and using a vehicle and not complying with the standards of registration, totalling $1665 each.
