Lakers set new goals

Kinglake Memorial Oval, Kinglake Central.

Ray and Ben Duhig of Kinglake concrete company ‘Cretescape’ last weekend (March 11-12, 2017) re-aligned the goal posts using modern technology.

Laser levels were used to install properly aligned and correctly measured goal posts at both ends.

Following many years of complaints from Kinglake players, spectators and opposition teams about the goal misalignment, the goal posts from end-to-end at Kinglake Memorial Oval were last week removed and replaced with a solution finally being found with the help of local business and community support.

Cretescape carried out the alignment work whilst Dean Gentsch, Guy White, Darren Hendrie and Charles Exton among other helpers carried out the installation and concrete pouring work whilst last weekends’ ‘Festival of the Falls’ was taking place on the Kinglake oval.
