Highway Patrol is appealing for witnesses after a 60-year-old man using a pedestrian crossing was hit by a dark-coloured Toyota Corolla on Warana Drive, Hampton Park at about 6.40 this morning.

Highway Patrol is appealing for witnesses after a 60-year-old man using a pedestrian crossing was hit by a dark-coloured Toyota Corolla on Warana Drive, Hampton Park at about 6.40 this morning.

The Hampton Park man was crossing at the pedestrian crossing at the time of the collision and was knocked to the ground.

He was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

The sedan failed to stop at the scene and assist the man and police are seeking witnesses or anyone with dash cam footage.
