Iron Wombat to join 300 club

Kinglake’s Brett 'Grover' Groves next Saturday,  June 3,  will become the third player in Kinglake Football/Netball Club history to play 300 club games when the Lakers face Seville at home.

Kinglake’s Brett ‘Grover’ Groves next Saturday,  June 3,  will become the third player in Kinglake Football/Netball Club history to play 300 club games when the Lakers face Seville at home.

When Brett first played for Kinglake last century, his former teammate Michael Maloney commented that a “young (Brett) Grover once sported a mullet that put Billy Ray Cyrus to shame!”

Affectionately known amongst Lakers past and present as ‘Iron Wombat,’ the Kinglake Ranges community and club thanked Brett ‘Grover’ Groves for his contribution of over two decades to the Kinglake Football/Netball Club.

Congratulations Brett Groves.
