PRAHRAN, VIC. — Melbourne artist Elli Bardas presents Remembering My Wild, a pop-up exhibition with a new iteration of her Wild Things series, on Chapel Street, Prahran, from November 21 to December 6.

Combining her love of sculpture and portrait photography, Bardas has created an all-encompassing colourful world that centres the human spirit, exploring ideas around personal empowerment.

The works invite viewers to consider what might be possible if we imagined a world shaped by joy, love and abundance rather than fear and division.

The Wild Things are visual representations of our individual, quirky selves. Bardas describes them as talismans: reminders of personal power and of who we are before the world asks us to conform.

Bardas’ practice is a celebration of spirit and plays at the intersection of human, spirit, and nature. Her current focus, with multiple iterations of Wild Things, is visualising the unique, quirky, exuberant human spirit at the core of each of us.

Bardas is imagining a liberated world where we remember we are funny, joyous, weird and wonderful individuals, full of love, hope and healing for our futures.

The event is free.
