Jellyfish

MELBOURNE, VIC. — Jellyfish is the tale of one small creature with absolutely no brain to speak of. Embark on an underwater adventure and experience the wonders of the reef with an optimistic, gelatinous being. This is comedy at its most bioluminescent, undulating, and ... squishy. Are you ready for this jelly?

The show is a spin-off from Cherese’s first solo show, Fruition, and now the jellyfish gets to tell her own story – metaphorically, because she doesn’t speak.

Be careful, she stings.

Cherese Sonkkila is a clown(fish) from Naarm/Melbourne, and this is her sophomore show. After her fruit-themed debut, she’s bringing back her high-whimsy, absurd character comedy. But this time – it’s aquatic.

This project was Fringe Funded, with support from Monica Lim and Konfir Kabo.
