MANSFIELD SHIRE COUNCIL, VIC. — The Mansfield Swimming Pool is currently undergoing major upgrades that will breathe new life into the aquatic centre by providing better accessibility and comfort, along with an expanded offering.

The project includes the construction of a new weather-proof enclosure over the learners’ pool, upgraded change facilities and a solar power system. These upgrades mean all members of the community will be able to enjoy the pool comfortably, no matter the season.

The new splash play area will offer a dedicated space for children to enjoy, while the pool pod and access ramp will make it easier than ever for people of all abilities to get in and enjoy the water.

Mayor Cr Steve Rabie said the upgrades will help the community get more from a well-loved facility.

“This is a significant investment in one of our most loved community facilities,” he said.

“The Mansfield Swimming Pool is a place where people of all ages and abilities come together, and these upgrades will make sure they can keep doing that all year round.”

“We are grateful to have support on this project from the Victorian government, Community Bank Mansfield and District, the Year-round Aquatic Facility Mansfield community group and our local sporting clubs in making this happen.”

“This project reflects a community that pays attention and gets involved. This is the community stepping up and making its needs clear. This Council listens to our community and we act on its behalf. We’re pleased to see progress being made.”

The project’s mobilisation is a result of joint funding from:

Sport and Recreation Victoria’s Regional Community Sports Infrastructure Fund ($1,000,000) with Council ($750,741), Bendigo Bank ($10,000) and Year-Round Aquatic Facility, Mansfield ($2,000).

Works have begun, marking the start of construction that will run through to August 2027.

The pool will remain partially open where possible throughout construction.

Work crews will be on site from 7.00am to 5.00pm, Monday to Friday, with temporary fencing and safety measures in place.

Community members are asked to follow any on-site signage and staff directions during this time.

Mayor Cr Rabie thanked pool patrons for their commitment to the facility.

“We thank you for your patience and your understanding as we complete the upgrade works.”
