MURRINDINDI SHIRE, VIC. — With warmer weather on the way, Murrindindi Shire’s outdoor aquatic season is about to get underway.

The Baanh ba Djila Splash Park in Eildon will open for the season starting this Saturday, October 31, giving families an early opportunity to cool off and enjoy the water.

Our outdoor pools in Alexandra, Eildon, Marysville and Yea will open for the 2026–27 season from Saturday 14 November.

Entry to our community pools remains free this season. Visitors who would like to support the ongoing operation and maintenance of our pools can make a voluntary $5 contribution using the QR code available at aquatic facilities.

Pool opening days

Pool opening is weather dependent. Alexandra, Eildon and Yea pools will open when the Bureau of Meteorology forecast is 23°C or above, while Marysville Pool will open when the forecast is 21°C or above.

Morning lap swimming and school and swim club bookings will operate regardless of the forecast.

For the latest information on opening hours and conditions, check Council’s Facebook page or contact our Customer Service team on (03) 5772 0333.

Staying safe around the water

Our aquatic facilities will once again take part in Life Saving Victoria’s Watch Around Water campaign. Parents and guardians are responsible for actively supervising children in and around aquatic facilities.

While lifeguards are trained to respond in an emergency, they cannot actively supervise every child at all times.
