SOUTH MORANG, VIC. — In celebration of World Environment Day and with winter school holidays approaching, residents are invited to a family-friendly movie night screening of WALL-E.

Enjoy a night packed full of environment-themed entertainment, including live music from Junkyard Beats, composting demonstrations, creative crafts from recycled materials, food (including popcorn and an ice cream for the movie), face painting, and more – all for just $5 a ticket.

You can then sit back and relax in our theatre for a viewing of the 2008 animated film WALL-E. Our favourite solitary robot provides takeaway messages for children and adults alike and reminds us what can happen when we create too much waste and neglect the planet. Even tiny choices, such as caring for our plants or being curious about the world, can help bring nature back to life.

This messaging aligns with Council’s Sustainable Environment Strategy 2022-2032, which has a strong focus on a sustainable, climate-resilient future for all. This is a great opportunity to learn a bit more about looking after the planet while enjoying some great entertainment.

So, kick off the school holidays with some affordable entertainment for the kids, and join us on Friday, June 26, from 6pm – 9pm, at the Plenty Ranges Arts and Convention Centre.

Bookings are essential – visit whittlesea.vic.gov.au/movienight to secure your spot.
