Elderly Warrnambool woman’s home burgled

Warrnambool detectives are investigating an aggravated burglary at the home of an 87-year-old woman in Warrnambool.

Warrnambool detectives are investigating an aggravated burglary at the home of an 87-year-old woman in Warrnambool.

Police believe an unknown male broke into the elderly woman’s Hoddle Street, Warrnambool home just after 5am yesterday.

The elderly woman  – who has resided at the residence for 50 years – woke to her bedroom door opening and a man with a torch in her hallway.

The victim startled the intruder who fled through the rear of the home.

The elderly female was not physically injured. But has been left traumatised, according to police.

The offender was wearing all black.
