NORLANE, VIC. — Police have charged a man following a crash in Norlane in the early hours of Thursday morning.
The 25-year-old man has been charged with more than 15 offences including:
- (being a) prohibited person possess firearm;
- trafficking and possession of cocaine, methylamphetamine, LSD and heroin;
- possession of cartridge ammunition;
- theft of (a) motor vehicle;
- reckless conduct endangering life;
- drug driving;
- commit(ing) (an) indictable offence whilst on bail; and
- other property, drugs and traffic offences.
The charges follow a single vehicle crash involving an allegedly stolen car on Sparks Road about 1am.
An alleged search of the vehicle uncovered a sawn-off shotgun and quantities of alleged drugs.
The Whittington man appeared before Geelong Magistrates’ Court yesterday, where he was remanded in custody to re-appear today, Friday, August 7.
