Police have charged seven men who allegedly performed the Nazi salute at a venue in Geelong on Saturday, February 8.
The charges follow an extensive investigation into an image circulating online that depicted a group of men performing the prohibited Nazi salute.
Geelong detectives retrieved CCTV footage from a Bell Park venue on Separation Street, Geelong, as part of their inquiries.
All seven men have been charged on summons for public display or performance of Nazi symbols or gestures.
All will appear at Geelong Magistrates’ Court on 6 May 2025.
The maximum penalty for public display of Nazi symbols or gestures is a fine of up to $23,710, 12 months jail or a combination of both.
