EXCLUSIVE: Bundaberg High School students speak to astronauts on the International Space Station

Bundaberg State High School students tonight spoke to astronaut Dr Mike Barratt, KD5MIJ, aboard the International Space Station at The Wireless Institute of Australia's National Convention and AGM in Bundaberg, Queensland using amateur 'ham' radio.

Bundaberg State High School students tonight spoke to astronaut Dr Mike Barratt, KD5MIJ, aboard the International Space Station at The Wireless Institute of Australia‘s National Convention and AGM in Bundaberg, Queensland using amateur ‘ham’ radio.

The Bundaberg State High School students spoke with NASA astronaut Dr Michael ‘Mike’ Barratt, KD5MIJ.

Amateur “ham” radio stations VK3HJQ, VK4KAZ, VK1WIA, VK4WIA, VK4BW, NA1ISS (Space Station), VK6MJ, KD5MIJ, *HAM* via Echolink and other amateur radio stations.

J.M Diggens, VK6MJ, provided the space-to-earth link via Perth to Brisbane.
