TERIP TERIP, VIC. — Twenty-six heifers missing from a Terip Trip cattle farm were reported found on the Terip Terip community Facebook page at 10.32am on Thursday, July 9.

“A huge thank you to everyone who shared the original post, kept an eye out, checked their properties, and offered assistance. The support from our local community has been incredible and is greatly appreciated.

“It’s a huge relief to have these girls safely back where they belong,” the post states.

Terip Terip cattle farmers had sought community assistance to locate the 26 missing heifers that went missing from a Burgess Road, Terip Terip (above Yarck) farm on Monday, June 29, 2026.

The 9-month-old heifers survived last summer’s devastating bushfires as calves before spending five months agisted whilst fencing was rebuilt.

They had only recently returned home before escaping after a fallen tree brought down a fence.
