Detectives yesterday charged three people following a firearms incident in Wyuna last week.

Police understand that a woman and two men attended a property on McManus Street just after 10pm on Monday, February 17.

One of the men allegedly assaulted a male occupant and discharged a firearm.

The trio fled the scene before police arrived.

The 49-year-old man was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Investigators believe the parties involved are known to each other.

Officers arrested a 26-year-old White Hills man and seized two firearms.

Police executed another search warrant simultaneously at a property on Hampshire Crescent, Shepparton.

A 48-year-old Shepparton woman was arrested at the scene and charged with several offences, including using a loaded firearm in a non-public place with reckless disregard for safety.

An 18-year-old man self-presented to a police station later in the day and was charged with reckless conduct endangering life, among other charges.

The 26-year-old man has been charged with 21 offences, including intentionally causing serious injury and using a loaded firearm in a non-public place with reckless disregard for safety.
