REDAN, VIC. — Homicide Squad detectives are investigating the death of an infant in Redan after emergency services were called to a property on Leith Street on Sunday, September 20, where paramedics located an unresponsive 8-month-old baby.
Paramedics performed CPR. The 8-month-old baby was rushed to a Ballarat hospital just after 1pm.
She was later transferred to a Melbourne hospital, where she sadly died yesterday.
A 23-year-old man has been interviewed by detectives and released pending further enquiries.
The exact circumstances are yet to be determined.
