Pedestrian dies after collision

MAGPIE, VIC. — Moorabool Highway Patrol officers are investigating after a male pedestrian was walking along the Midland Highway, near Magpie Road, when he was struck by a car at about 10.40pm yesterday.

MAGPIE, VIC. — Moorabool Highway Patrol officers are investigating after a male pedestrian was walking along the Midland Highway, near Magpie Road, when he was struck by a car at about 10.40pm yesterday.

Emergency services worked on the pedestrian at the scene; however, he sadly died.

The driver and sole occupant of the car, a 54-year-old woman, stopped at the scene and has been spoken to by police.

An investigation into the circumstances of the collision is underway.
