Stonnington detectives today charged a 46-year-old Windsor woman following an alleged assault and arson at a service station in Windsor early this morning.

Stonnington detectives today charged a 46-year-old Windsor woman following an alleged assault and arson at a service station in Windsor early this morning.

Police were called to reports of a woman allegedly lighting a fire inside a Punt Road service station at about 12:30am.

It was also alleged the woman had assaulted the attendant.

On police arrival, officers observed a fire inside the store and challenged a woman who was allegedly armed with an accelerant.

The woman didn’t comply and force was used including baton strikes and the deployment of a taser.

The Windsor woman was arrested and charged with criminal damage by fire, theft, resisting police and unlawful assault.

She has been bailed to appear at Melbourne Magistrates Court on May 2, 2025.
