Firefighters attended a large factory fire on Boundary Road, Braeside, after callers to triple-zero reported hearing explosions at 3.50am this morning.

Firefighters attended a large factory fire on Boundary Road, Braeside, after callers to triple-zero reported hearing explosions at 3.50am this morning.

Fire Rescue Victoria (FRV) arrived within seven minutes, shortly before 4am to find a brick factory fully ablaze and escalated the response.

Firefighters utilised multiple hoselines and aerial firefighting appliances to try and bring the fire under control.

The fire was declared under control at 05:00am, 63 minutes after firefighters arrived.

The fire has been deemed suspicious.

The scene was handed over to the Arson Squad for investigation.
