Charges after man located unresponsive in Pascoe Vale

PASCOE VALE, VIC. — Broadmeadows Family Violence Investigation Unit detectives charged a man after another man was found unresponsive in Pascoe Vale on Tuesday night.

PASCOE VALE, VIC. — Broadmeadows Family Violence Investigation Unit detectives charged a man after another man was found unresponsive in Pascoe Vale on Tuesday night.

Officers attended a residential property on Heathcote Street and found a 63-year-old man unconscious on September 29 at about 7.45pm.

The man was treated at the scene but died shortly after.

Another man, a 34-year-old from Pascoe Vale, was arrested nearby.

He has since been charged with non-fatal strangulation, recklessly causing injury, possessing methamphetamine and committing an indictable offence whilst on bail.

He faced Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on October 1, where he was further remanded to appear on 16 October.

Detectives will prepare a report for the coroner in relation to the circumstances surrounding the death.

It is alleged the parties are known to each other.
