Charges follow CBD stabbing

MELBOURNE, VIC. — Police have charged a woman following an alleged stabbing in Melbourne’s CBD on Thursday, October 2.

MELBOURNE, VIC. — Police have charged a woman following an alleged stabbing in Melbourne’s CBD on Thursday, October 2.

It is alleged that a female offender stabbed a woman near the intersection of Little Bourke and Spencer streets about 7.40am.

The victim, a 36-year-old Melbourne West woman, was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police conducted an extensive search of the area, arrested a woman and seized a knife.

A 32-year-old Melbourne woman was charged with intentionally causing injury and committing an indictable offence whilst on bail.

She appeared at the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on Friday, October 3 and was remanded in custody.
