COLLINGWOOD, VIC. — Detectives are investigating a ram raid in Collingwood this morning.

It is believed a stolen Hino truck reversed into the front of the newsagency on Smith Street about 5.30am.

The two occupants failed to gain entry into an ATM at the front of the premises before fleeing in a Toyota Hilux east on Johnston Street.

The business was unoccupied at the time. There were no injuries.

According to police, the Hino was stolen in Dandenong South yesterday, December 29.

An investigation remains ongoing.
