MELBOURNE, VIC. — An unnamed Victoria Police leading senior constable (LSC) from an unnamed specialist area has been charged following a police internal investigation.
The 52-year-old male LSC has been charged with two counts of sexual assault of a child aged 16 or 17 under care, supervision or authority.
The charge relates to an incident that occurred in September 2023 while the officer was off-duty.
He was charged on summons to appear before an undisclosed Magistrates’ Court at a future date that police refused to disclose to reporters.
