Homicide Squad detectives are investigating a fatal assault in Werribee after a man was located with life-threatening injuries.
A 55-year-old Werribee man was arrested at the scene and will be interviewed by police.
Police were called to the Everwin Drive, Werribee property about 7.10pm.
The victim was transported to hospital. He passed away several hours later.
Detectives are making enquiries to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident and investigations remain ongoing.
