CRAIGIEBURN, VIC. — At approximately 10.20pm on Friday, Fire Rescue Victoria (FRV) firefighters responded to Bridgewater Road, Craigieburn, after callers to Triple Zero (000) reported a garage fire.
Firefighters arrived on scene within five minutes to find a fire issuing from the garage of a brick veneer home and quickly escalated the response to a second alarm.
FRV firefighters wearing breathing apparatus worked with CFA firefighters to attack the fire and prevent it from spreading to a neighbouring property.
Crews conducted a primary search of the property, with all occupants accounted for.
There was significant fire damage to the garage and the house.
The fire was deemed under control by 11.50pm.
The cause of the fire is not yet known.
It is being investigated by FRV specialists.
