CRANBOURNE, VIC. — Police have charged five people after officers executed a search warrant at a property on Lyall Street, Cranbourne, yesterday as part of an investigation into a series of thefts in the Cranbourne area in the first three weeks of October and arrested and charged three men and two women.
The warrants follow an investigation by Cranbourne uniform police into more than twenty-five alleged shop thefts and vehicle crimes, with more than $10,000 worth of goods stolen from the Cranbourne, Clyde, Hampton Park, and Narre Warren areas.
Police located and seized televisions, electronic devices and lithium batteries allegedly stolen from supermarkets across Southeast Melbourne; a white coloured Vespa scooter allegedly stolen from the Cranbourne area in January 2026, which had been repainted black, a substantial amount of allegedly stolen copper stripped and ready for sale and illicit drugs believed to be GHB, cannabis, cocaine and methylamphetamine.
The group have been charged with multiple offences and will appear at the Frankston Magistrates’ Court.
