Four teens arrested after rock throwing onto freeway

Police last night arrested four teenagers who allegedly threw rocks at vehicles from the Bulmans Road, Brookfield overpass onto traffic travelling on the Western Freeway shortly after midnight.

Police last night arrested four teenagers who allegedly threw rocks at vehicles from the Bulmans Road, Brookfield overpass onto traffic travelling on the Western Freeway shortly after midnight.

Officers from Melton quickly arrived on the scene, arresting three male and one female youths.

All four – an 18-year-old man from Brookfield, a 16-year-old boy from Melton South, a 19-year-old man from Melton and a 19-year-old woman from Taylors Hill – were released and expected to be charged on summons with conduct endangering life.

Four vehicles were reported to be damaged. It’s believed there were no injuries.
