HEIDELBERG WEST, VIC. — Police are investigating a hit-and-run collision in Heidelberg West on Saturday evening.
Emergency services were called to reports a man had been struck by a car on Blackwood Parade about 7.30pm.
Investigators have been told a 68-year-old man was attempting to stop his vehicle being stolen by an unknown offender when he was struck by the vehicle.
The offender and the vehicle fled the scene.
No arrests have been made.
The injured man was transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
A crime scene has been established.
An investigation is ongoing.
