VERMONT, VIC. — Homicide Squad detectives are investigating a fatal stabbing in Vermont last night.
Officers were called to reports that a woman had been stabbed inside a property on Delatite Court just before 10pm.
A 39-year-old woman was found deceased at the scene.
A 39-year-old man was arrested and treated by ambulance paramedics before being transported to hospital under police guard.
He will be interviewed by detectives.
An investigation is ongoing.
It is believed the parties are known to one another.
