Pedestrian dies in Oakleigh

OAKLEIGH, VIC. — Police are investigating a fatal collision in Oakleigh on Sunday evening.

OAKLEIGH, VIC. — Police are investigating a fatal collision in Oakleigh on Sunday evening.

Emergency services were called to reports a truck had struck a pedestrian at the intersection of Burlington Street and Huntingdale Road about 6.10pm.

The male pedestrian, who is yet to be formally identified, died at the scene.

The driver and sole occupant of the truck wasn’t injured and stopped at the scene.

An investigation into the circumstances surrounding the collision is ongoing.

Parts of Huntingdale Road remain closed. Detours are in place.
