Police investigate Ferntree Gully crash

FERNTREE GULLY, VIC. — Highway Patrol officers are investigating a motorcycle crash in Ferntree Gully this morning.

FERNTREE GULLY, VIC. — Highway Patrol officers are investigating a motorcycle crash in Ferntree Gully this morning.

The rider was travelling south along Lyserfield Road when he crashed into a railing before rolling down an embankment about 9.20am.

The rider, a 32-year-old Narre Warren man, sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to hospital.

At the time of the incident, Highway Patrol Officers were stationary in their vehicle on Lysterfield Road, just south of the scene.

The Professional Standards Command will oversee the investigation.
