Police investigate Oakleigh car dealership fire

Detectives are appealing for information after an arson attack caused over $1 million in damage to a car dealership on Park Road, Oakleigh.

Detectives are appealing for information after an arson attack caused over $1 million in damage to a car dealership on Park Road, Oakleigh.

Monash Crime Investigation Unit understand a man arrived at the dealership in a grey 2013 Audi A4 Wagon at about 2.55am on Monday, June 26.

Police were told he smashed windows to force entry into the premises at about 3.45am, before setting the business on fire with several vehicles damaged in the fire.

There was no one in the building at the time of the incident and the man fled the scene in the Audi.
