TRUGANINA, VIC. — Westgate Divisional Response Unit detectives are investigating a home invasion at about 9pm on Tuesday, August 11, on Fiore Way, Truganina, where four unknown male offenders allegedly gained access to a property.
Once inside the property, the offenders confronted two occupants in a hallway.
One resident, a 35-year-old man, was threatened with a machete while demands were made for cash.
He sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
The second occupant, a 40-year-old woman, was not physically injured during the incident.
The group rummaged through several rooms before fleeing the scene with multiple pieces of gold jewellery.
Police understand the group arrived and left in a silver Holden Commodore.
Despite a thorough search of the area, the offenders were not located.
An investigation remains ongoing.
