MELBOURNE, VIC. — Slippery roads will make driving conditions dangerous during Saturday in all suburbs.
Safety advice
Transport Victoria advises drivers to:
Slow down and drive carefully.
Leave more space between you and the vehicle in front. It takes longer to stop on wet, slippery roads.
Look out for hazards like mud, water on the road, debris, damaged roads, and fallen trees.
Never drive through flood waters.
Before driving, check the VicTraffic website for the latest information on road closures. If you see a hazard on the road network, call Transport Victoria’s Transport Operations Centre on 13 11 70, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
The next warning will be issued by 11:00 am Eastern Daylight Time on Saturday, October 24.
