Detectives have charged four teenagers after a series of alleged burglaries and robberies in Mlebourne’s southeast last week.

Between January 15 and 17, 2025, a stolen Hyundai Accent sedan was sighted near a series of cigarette burglaries.

Police sighted the vehicle entering the Monash Freeway from Eastlink around 1:30am on January 17.

The Air Wing followed the vehicle as ‘stop sticks’ were deployed. The car came to a stop at Broad Oak Drive, Cranbourne.

Police then seized approximately 920 packets of cigarettes from the vehicle as well as suspected stolen items.

Four people were arrested at the scene.

Two 15-year-old Cranbourne East teenagers have been charged with attempted armed robbery, robbery, burglary and aggravated burglary.

A 17-year-old Sandhurst boy has been charged with attempted armed robbery and burglary offences and a 14-year-old Cranbourne East boy has been charged with robbery and burglary offences.

The teenagers will face Children’s Court at a later date.
