WERRIBEE, VIC. — Altona Highway Patrol officers are investigating a hit and run collision which occurred in Werribee on Tuesday.

WERRIBEE, VIC. — Altona Highway Patrol officers are investigating a hit and run collision which occurred in Werribee on Tuesday.

Investigators have been told a man and a woman were crossing Wattson Street, near the intersection of Duncans Road, about 9pm on Tuesday, October 28.

As they were crossing the road, they were struck by a blue sedan that was travelling in a north-east direction.

The car failed to stop at the scene after the collision. The driver is yet to be identified.

A passerby saw the two injured people on the road and went to their aid.

A 33-year-old Point Cook man and a 31-year-old Wyndham Vale woman suffered serious but not life-threatening injuries and were taken to hospital.
