WANTIRNA SOUTH, VIC. — Fast-acting Knox and Boronia police arrested a teen following an alleged series of robberies in Wantirna South last night.
Officers were called to reports of a male pushing victims against a wall and making demands for their belongings on High Street about 9.40pm.
This allegedly occurred on three successive occasions.
There were no reported injuries.
It’s alleged the teen stole items including AirPods and was accompanied by a friend who repeatedly encouraged him to stop.
Police promptly arrived on scene and located a 16-year-old boy allegedly hiding out in a nearby business.
The 16-year-old was arrested. A small quantity of cannabis was seized.
The teen allegedly spat at officers soon after.
He will be interviewed by investigators today.
An investigation remains ongoing.
