Woman dies following collision

MERRICKS NORTH, VIC. — A woman died following a three-vehicle collision in Merricks North yesterday.

MERRICKS NORTH, VIC. — A woman died following a three-vehicle collision in Merricks North yesterday.

Emergency services were called to reports that a Nissan C12, Jeep Wrangler and Toyota Land Cruiser had collided at the intersection of Balnarring and Myers Roads about 11.50am.

The driver of the Nissan, a 22-year-old woman from Hastings, was transported to hospital with critical injuries, where she later died.

Her passenger, a 22-year-old man, as well as the 46-year-old female driver of the Jeep and 82-year-old male driver of the Toyota, were each transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Somerville Highway Patrol officers continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision and will prepare a report for the coroner.
