Strathbogie fire now under control

The Strathbogie fire has been bought under control as CFA vehicles return home. The fire will continue to be monitored and patrolled. A relief centre has been set up at the Euroa Cinema on Bury Street.

A downgraded Watch and Act remains in place.

There will be a community meeting held tomorrow, Saturday 5 January at 10am at Strathbogie Hall on Main Street, Strathbogie. Incident personnel from CFA, Victoria Police and Strathbogie Council will be in attendance.

 

Twenty-eight firefighting vehicles attended the fire as well as air support since the fire began around 3:30pm.

The fire is believed to have impacted 63 hectares.
