POINT COOK, VIC. — Werribee police arrested and charged a prolific alleged alcohol thief in Point Cook yesterday.
Following an extensive investigation, and as part of Operation Kodak, officers executed a search warrant at a property in Point Cook.
Police arrested a 20-year-old Point Cook man at the property, along with seizing numerous items allegedly connected with a series of alcohol thefts committed at retail liquor stores throughout the Point Cook area over four months.
The man was charged with a total of 30 theft-related offences.
He was remanded to appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court today.
The search warrant forms part of Operation Kodak, conducted by uniform police in Werribee during August.
The operation targeted repeat offenders committing alcohol thefts at retail liquor stores throughout the Wyndham area and includes an ongoing focus on crime prevention strategies with retail liquor stores throughout the Wyndham Police Service Area (PSA).
