Rider dies after truck and motorcycle collide

PURRUMBETE, VIC. — Police are investigating a fatal collision between a truck and a motorcycle at the intersection of Nehill and Alexanders Road and Cobden - Stonyford Road, Purrumbete, at about 5.15pm.

PURRUMBETE, VIC. — Police are investigating a fatal collision between a truck and a motorcycle at the intersection of Nehill and Alexanders Road and Cobden – Stonyford Road, Purrumbete, at about 5.15pm.

Two off-duty nurses performed CPR on the motorcycle rider, however, they sadly died at the scene.

The rider is yet to be formally identified.

The driver and sole occupant of the truck, a 39-year-old Roxburgh Park man, was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

An investigation into the circumstances of the collision is underway.

The Cobden – Stonyford Road remains closed.
