MORWELL, VIC. — Homicide Squad detectives yesterday afternoon charged a man following the fatal assault of a male in Morwell on Saturday.
A 43-year-old Morwell man was arrested by police in Traralgon.
He was charged with one count of murder and appeared before the Latrobe Valley Magistrates’ Court yesterday.
The charge follows an incident where emergency services were called to reports a male had been located deceased with significant injuries inside a property on Langford Street, Morwell, just before 4:00pm on Sunday, July 12.
A 58-year-old Morwell man was found deceased at the scene.
Police believe the parties involved were known to each other.
