SILVERLEAVES, VIC. — Police are currently at a property in Silverleaves after what is believed to be human remains were discovered this morning.
Investigators understand that plumbing works were being conducted at the Hazelwood Court address when workmen unearthed the bones at about 8.35am.
A crime scene has been established.
Detectives from the Homicide Squad have been deployed to the scene.
The Missing Persons Squad has also been notified.
The bones will undergo forensic testing. At this stage, the circumstances surrounding the death of the person are yet to be determined, including whether the matter is suspicious.
