18yo accused of hit & run in Shepparton on day of getting licence

A 22-year-old woman has been seriously injured during an alleged hit-run in Shepparton by an 18-year-old woman who apparently only got her licence yesterday.

A 22-year-old woman has been seriously injured during an alleged hit-run in Shepparton by an 18-year-old woman who apparently only got her licence yesterday.

Shepparton police received a report that the woman was allegedly struck by a vehicle on Mercury Drive at about 11.15pm last night (Friday, June 9).

The Shepparton woman was taken to hospital with serious leg injuries after being pinned between two vehicles.

Police allege the driver then fled the scene.

Investigators attended a Mooroopna address several hours later where they arrested an 18-year-old woman.
