MERBEIN, VIC. — A 36-year-old male driver lost his license after being caught more than three times over the limit at the scene of a crash in Merbein last night.
It is alleged a Mazda 3 sedan was driving erratically before it crashed into the gate and wall of a business on Smith Street about 10pm.
Mildura Highway Patrol officers responded and located the damaged vehicle.
The male driver blew a positive preliminary breath test.
The 36-year-old returned an alleged evidentiary reading of .169 per cent BAC.
Police will allege he was also involved in a crash into a business on Game Street.
The Merbein man was issued an immediate driving ban. H
He is expected to be charged on summons.
