11yo girl allegedly upskirted on 57 tram

NORTH MELBOURNE, VIC. — Transit Crime Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for public assistance to identify a man following an upskirting incident on a tram in Melbourne’s CBD last month.

NORTH MELBOURNE, VIC. — Transit Crime Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for public assistance to identify a man following an upskirting incident on a tram in Melbourne’s CBD last month.

Police have been told the 11-year-old victim was on her way to school on board the route 57 tram, seated opposite an unknown man, between 8.25 and 8.45am on Thursday, May 28.

Investigators have been told the man took inappropriate images of the girl before disembarking the tram at the intersection of Errol and Queensberry streets in North Melbourne.

The girl continued to school, where she reported the matter and the police were subsequently notified.

He is perceived to be Caucasian in appearance, approximately 20-30 years old, with slightly curly blond shoulder-length hair.

He was seen wearing a knitted burnt orange and brown jumper with jeans.
