ABBOTSFORD, VIC. — Fire Rescue Victoria (FRV) responded to a building fire on Mollison Street, Abbotsford at 2.52am following multiple calls to Triple Zero (000).

ABBOTSFORD, VIC. — Fire Rescue Victoria (FRV) responded to a building fire on Mollison Street, Abbotsford at 2.52am following multiple calls to Triple Zero (000).

Firefighters arrived on scene within five minutes to find fire through the roof of a brick building approximately 10m by 30m, so the response was escalated.

Wearing breathing apparatus, firefighters worked swiftly to contain the fire to the building, with an aerial appliance also helping crews tackle the blaze.

Crews conducted a primary search, confirming no one was inside.

The incident was deemed Under Control at 4.02am however, firefighters remain on scene monitoring hotspots.

Ambulance Victoria was on scene to monitor firefighter health.

Victoria Police was on scene for traffic management.

Fire investigators are attending this morning.
