Charges following Brighton East burglary and Monash Freeway pursuit

CHADSTONE, VIC. — Moorabbin Crime Investigation Unit detectives have charged five people following an alleged aggravated burglary in Brighton East and a pursuit that ended on the Monash Freeway yesterday.

CHADSTONE, VIC. — Moorabbin Crime Investigation Unit detectives have charged five people following an alleged aggravated burglary in Brighton East and a pursuit that ended on the Monash Freeway yesterday.

A 16-year-old from the Casey area has been charged with intentional aggravated exposure of emergency worker to risk by driving, reckless conduct endangering life, reckless conduct endangering serious injury, theft of motor vehicle and unlicensed driving.

A 16-year-old from the Cardinia area has been charged with theft of a motor vehicle and committing an indictable offence whilst on bail.

A 16-year-old from the Whitehorse area has been charged with theft of a motor vehicle.

The 17-year-old from the Casey area has been charged with armed robbery, aggravated burglary and two counts of the theft of a motor vehicle.

They were remanded to appear before a children’s court today.

The 19-year-old Cranbourne East man was charged with theft of a motor vehicle, and he was remanded to appear before Dandenong Magistrates’ Court today.

A 20-year-old Wheelers Hill man remains in hospital under police guard.

The Audi SQ5 was recovered in Endeavour Hills.
