Drugs, weapons and counterfeit documents seized

CHELSEA, VIC. — Caulfield Divisional Response Unit detectives yesterday charged a 37-year-old Chelsea man after officers executed a search warrant at a residence on Chelsea Road, Chelsea, at about 7am, following an investigation into drug trafficking in the Kingston and Bayside areas.

CHELSEA, VIC. — Caulfield Divisional Response Unit detectives yesterday charged a 37-year-old Chelsea man after officers executed a search warrant at a residence on Chelsea Road, Chelsea, at about 7am, following an investigation into drug trafficking in the Kingston and Bayside areas.

The 37-year-old Chelsea man and a 34-year-old Dandenong North woman were arrested without incident.

During the search warrant, investigators seized quantities of methylamphetamine, cannabis, steroids, 1,4-butanediol, ecstasy pills and prescription medications, a slingshot, a sword, fake driver’s licences, the equipment to produce counterfeit identification documents and cash.

The Chelsea man has been charged with 20 offences and was held overnight to appear before Melbourne Magistrates’ Court today.

The Dandenong North woman was released pending further enquiries.
