GLEN WAVERLEY, VIC. — At 12.16pm, Fire Rescue Victoria (FRV) responded to an incident on Darri Court, Glen Waverley, after callers to Triple Zero (000) reported smoke issuing from a roof.
Crews arrived on scene within four minutes to find a house fully involved in fire, so the response was escalated to a second alarm ten minutes later.

FRV crews donned breathing apparatus and began attacking the fire as well as preventing any fire spread to adjoining properties.
The building became quite unstable, so firefighters engaged a defensive firefighting strategy.
There were no occupants home at the time of the fire.
The fire was deemed under control at 12.55pm.
The cause of the fire is not yet known, but will be investigated by FRV specialists.
Firefighters will remain on scene to ensure the fire is fully extinguished.
